Pinch Trim Technology
Streamlining operations and processes is one of our main goals at Proto-1 Manufacturing. Tubes that require end forming and trim operations can be produced in one process with our pinch trim technology incorporated within our ram end forming toolsets. Pinch trimming is added within the ram noses in which one nose folds over the excess material while other shears away the material. This operation takes place during the end forming cycle, reducing overall cycle time and increasing machine throughput.
