FAST Technology
What is FAST Technology? FAST stands for forming, application, storage, and technology. By implementing new sensors and programming algorithms, FAST can help increase tool longevity and machine life. These added features to the machines help improve diagnostics. Troubleshooting is made easier by the stored data and live data graphs right on the machine HMI. The operator can use this information to detect any outliers that may be causing inconsistencies during running operations. Settings can then be adjusted to fix the outlier resulting in a more accuracy product and a more efficient machine.

Louver Tooling
Proto-1 recently developed new tooling and applications for the SRM-336 (Single Ram Machine). One of those newest applications is a spiral louver tool for 2.5″ tube. As the SRM moves the tube through a chuck, punches within the chuck are extended resulting in the following product. This machine and tool will be on active display at Fabtech 2018! Thanksgiving
